Smorgasbord
This year we had more than a dozen antelope tags between us, so as you can imagine we spent quite a bit of time roaming the rolling sage brush covered hills of Wyoming. And what better time than early fall to have the opportunity to take the young ones hunting. We took full advantage of our time outdoors, hunting small game every chance we got. Over the course of several weeks we ended up with a smorgasbord of game for the freezer.
Looking at a herd of antelope in the distance One of the dozen antelope we harvested this year
Trampling the hills for sage grouse, rabbits, ducks and pronghorn Boys bagged a rabbit along the way
Happened across these strolling across a two-track With a couple of mature birds
Daxton and Carson with a few ducks from the youth duck hunt Carson was dead on
Cold front came through and dumped snow Not even an hour later, melted and ducks
Carson loves taking care of the birds And he enjoys cooking and eating them just as much
We had a lot of exciting encounters along the way and fortunately took tons of pictures to capture most of those moments. The season is still young, so we'll do our best to get out there and build upon the memories already made!
