Wyoming Duck and Canada Goose Hunt

We had another fun and successful duck and goose hunt in Wyoming! We booked our hunt with Casey Lewis of Lewis Outdoor Adventures and loaded up on ducks and geese over a 3 day period, 52 geese and 30 ducks!

Our days consisted of hunting in layout blinds in both corn and barley fields and over water on one day. Unfortunately I don’t have many pictures of the birds in flight as Casey called them close, I was too busy blasting away! But seeing a line of geese way out across the horizon and then watching them approach until they are right there “on the deck” and then having them stall in the wind at 5 yards is an incredible sight! And I don’t know which was cooler, the geese right there at the tip of our gun barrels or the flock of 100+ Wigeons that bombed our decoys!

You can bet that I’ll be asking Santa for another goose hunt for Christmas!
